Craig Martini is a world renowned bass player, singer, and songwriter. He is well-known for playing and touring with acts such as, Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big Racer X), Colin Hay (Men At Work), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), and Joe Satriani; as well as studio bass with artists such as, Alan Parsons, Phil Collen, Paul Gilbert and many others.
Craig Martini started playing bass around 11 years old when his brother came home from school with the idea to play the guitar. Wanting to be a part of this new interest, the natural choice was the bass for Craig.
He went on to be in some of Cleveland’s best known local bands. But, by then he had a dream way larger than his hometown victories. At age 23, Craig decided Las Vegas was the next place to hone his skills. He carved out a path for himself playing in countless variety shows and musicals on the Las Vegas strip, as well as in original rock bands.
Being in Las Vegas turned out to be a great choice as L.A. was only a couple hour car ride away.
Now, Craig Martini is back in his hometown of Cleveland and has become a one man show, and solo artist. This was at the advice of Phil Collen while on tour together as part of Joe Satriani’s G3 tour in 2019. Craig makes all his solo music with a bass, his voice, and a couple of loop stations. Craig also writes music for sync placements in T.V., movies, and advertisement, worldwide.
Craig has so far produced one album for Music For Sport, with his guitar-playing buddy, Alan LoPresti. The album is titled SPEED SPORTS, and is a super-exciting collection of contemporary Rock tracks. If you need music that spells speed, power, danger, and thrills, you’ll find it here in this action-packed virtuoso album.
