Neil Taylor - Music For Sport Composer

Neil Taylor started playing in local Bristol bands in his youth before joining Bath band Neon in the early 1980s. During this time he met Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal who, after founding Tears for Fears, asked Taylor to tour with them and play guitar on their second album, ‘Songs From The Big Chair’ (1985) Playing the famous guitar solos on Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Broken. He also played on their third album ‘The Seeds Of Love'(1989). He toured with the band several times between 1983 and 1990 and appears on their live concert videos In My Minds Eye (1984) and Going To California

 Neil Taylor went on to record guitars on Love Changes Everything by Climie/Fisher. Rush Hour by Jane Wiedlin. Tina Turners ‘Steamy windows’ Morrissey’s ‘The last of the famous international playboys’ ‘Interesting drug’ & ‘Lucky lisp’ Natalie Imbruglia’s album ‘White Lillies Island’ & James Morrison – Undiscovered to name a few.

He was asked to become a member of Robbie Williams band in 2002 after recording the bulk of guitars on his album ‘Sing While You’re Winning’ playing the famous Knebworth shows in 2003. He also played on Escapolgy & on most of Rob’s hits Including ‘Feel’ ‘Kids’ ‘Rock DJ’ ‘Come Undone’ ‘Love Supreme’ ‘Let love be your energy’ Extensively touring the world with Robbie for ten years all over the globe.

Neil Taylor writes & produces/mixes his own albums & is currently busy recording his sixth album. He has toured as an artist playing Germany, Austria, South Africa & Ukraine. 

Neil Taylor has also written over two hundred & fifty songs for production music in the past six years & has had many placements in the US & Europe.

Neil has recently started writing for Music For Sport, and has produced tracks on Football 4 and Cyclorama.
