With over 35 years of experience, Mariano Botto is a composer and music producer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, whose passion lies in bringing audiovisual projects to life through sound. His specialization in synchronization music—spanning advertising, film, theater, and media—is based on a clear philosophy: understanding the unique vision of each project to create soundtracks that not only accompany it, but also enhance and define it.
Mariano’s career is a testament to his artistic versatility and professional rigor. As co-founder of the duo El Balcón, he not only released three albums but also toured internationally in Europe and Japan, developing an aural sensitivity that transcends borders and styles. This on-stage experience is complemented by a deep understanding of South American music, instrumental percussion, tango, and rock, allowing him to adapt his compositional language to a wide range of emotional and narrative needs.
His achievements speak to a recognized quality in the industry. He composed “MUSA,” the opening theme for the final gala of the Barcelona Fashion Film Festival in 2021, and his song “Luces de Inocencia” won an award at the prestigious Hugo del Carril competition organized by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires. His music has also been a fundamental pillar in plays such as “El derroche” in Argentina and “Antártida” in Peru, demonstrating his ability to build atmospheres and delve into the psychology of characters.
Beyond composition, Mariano offers a comprehensive production service. Using professional equipment and years of experience, he personally handles recording, mixing, and mastering, ensuring the highest-quality sound ready for broadcast. He understands the practical needs of the industry, offering adapted versions of his pieces—instrumentals, cuts of different lengths, and loops—for seamless integration into any format.
Currently, he collaborates regularly with Ozono TV on the creation of advertising music and dedicates his full time to developing his own and commissioned musical projects. His book “How to Play Tango on Guitar,” published by a leading publishing house in Argentina, reflects his commitment to teaching and his desire to transmit knowledge. With extensive international experience, including having been part of the Royal Caribbean cruise orchestra, Mariano Botto is available for commissions and collaborative projects, both national and international, ready to contribute his talent, professionalism, and passion to his next creative challenge.
He has traveled throughout Japan and Europe sharing his music. He is pleased to have joined the Music For Sport team, with his first album for the company being The Art Of The Snare.
