Music For Sport Composer - George McFarlane

George McFarlane is a full-hearted and full-blooded English Musician, Composer and Music Producer. Starting with record deals and multiple international hits in the UK and the US, he grew his roots in contemporary Rock, Soul and R+B with a strong network around the globe. 

His first instrument was the bass, when he played in various bands until he joined a CBS-signed act called Grand Hotel. Initial breakthrough came with The Quick, a duo who wrote and produced several international hits for themselves and other artists. The Quick became Giant Steps, who then signed with A+M records, and had a Top 10 hit in America with a song called Another Lover.  

George McFarlane focused over the years more on Songwriting, Arrangement, Studio Engineering and Music Production. He has worked successfully with a number of International artists. Out of the long list of his clients and co-writers, here’s a shortlist:  Gabrielle (co wrote the songs ‘Going Nowhere’ with Gabrielle which reached #9 on the UK chart and ‘Because of You” also co written with Gabrielle.) Both songs featured on her multi million selling first Greatest Hits album; Kim Wilde, Chaka Khan, Jason Donovan, Lulu, Kylie Minogue, Snoop Dog, Rick Astley and Siedah Garrett.

His music has also made its way on to various TV shows such as Succession, Breaking Bad, Desperate Housewives, Law And Order, Top Gear, Monk, The Office (US), IT Crowd, The Mentalist, Dancing With The Stars (US), American Idol and many others.

In conjunction with fellow writer/musician Stevie T, George McFarlane has created 3 sample library albums for Big Fish Audio in the US.

George has worked extensively with Japanese Recording artist Eikichi Yazawa, touring and recording in Japan and America, Arranging and Producing several albums.

George McFarlane plays Bass, Keyboards and Guitar and runs a fully professional Mac based Pro Tools rig at his home studio.
