Joachin RomasBorn to a Spanish mother and English father, Joachin Romas was brought up in southern Spain, with a keen interest in music, rugby, and cricket. He has been playing all three since he was six years old. Backed up by a ferocious guitar technique, Joachin Romas’ music encompasses flamenco, country, rock and the classic Spanish guitar repertoire.

Dividing his time between the United States and the UK, he is constantly in demand as a session player. His credits include Butch Hancock, Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Billy Swan, Kimmie Rhodes, Wanda Jackson, Heather Miles and Gail Davies.

Joachin co-wrote and played on the very first MUSIC FOR SPORT album, THE INNER GAME (Sport In Spain), which was written for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Having trained in Flamenco, Joachin was the obvious call for the guitar chair for this album, and his blend of Spanish Country Flamenco touched a nerve, and MUSIC FOR SPORT was born.

Joachin continues to write for MUSIC FOR SPORT when his busy schedule allows.
