ALESSANDRO PONTI
Since 2006 Alessandro Ponti has been devoting his professional life to write musical scores for documentary films by Italian and foreign filmmakers and for corporate and commercial videos, to design sounds for internet websites and provide piano solo compositions as production music.
In the fall 2008, Alessandro started to work for the UK game industry, scoring the trailer and the spot for strategic game Commander: Europe at War and having recently written the soundtrack for Horrible Histories™:
Composing in the orchestral style is a key feature in Alessandro’s work, who has chosen this mean also for scoring videogames. A special attention is given to the emotional moods called for by his composition, the core of which dwells on developing great romantic themes within a warm, classical orchestration and right on the use of the orchestra as a rhythm instrument to underscore the dramatic action depicted in the film.
Thanks to his deep yet eclectic background, Alessandro – also active in jazz as a composer and Hammond player – is able to blend the romantic Italian sounds to Hollywood-style film music and thus to satisfy every need of style and genre.
