Mike Koch MFSMichael Koch started his musical journey at the age of 8 when he picked up his first guitar and 4 years later was performing live with the local school band. At 18 he formed Witch Cross, a heavy metal band inspired by Black Sabbath and AC-DC. The band released their first single in 1982, which received 5 stars in Kerrang magazine, and in 1984 the (still bootlegged today) Album “Fit for Fight” was released on the Roadrunner label.

After the band split in 1986 Mike formed Harlot to release another album, Room with a View, before leaving his native Denmark to try his luck in London. Mike quickly became a respected session musician and producer working with a number of up-and-coming bands and singers. He now plays guitar in Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers and has been around the world performing Bye Bye Baby and Shang-a-Lang to thousands of people.

Mike also regularly works with members of  XTC and The Sweet in Germany and UK. He also writes and produces music for film and radio including, Channel 4, Hearts FM, Magic FM, Smooth and TalkSport.

His collection of classic guitars and amps is the key to his successful sound.
